FMG had on-site generators to provide critical power for equipment and day-to-day operations. However, without load banks, there was no way to ensure the generator was running at the correct wattage if needed. Especially in remote mining locations, without load banks, on-site generators risk incorrect servicing and prevent ongoing or major issues from appearing in the future.

The Solution

Our Custom Built Load Banks to Optimise Servicing, Testing & System Exercising

With the help of Blue Diamond Machinery, FMG had access to 4 (100kW, 200kW, 400kW & 500kW) custom built load banks to ensure all on-site generators were optimised and capable of running throughout the entire operation. With a variety of applications, load banks are useful for generator servicing, generator set exercising/testing, keeping generators set above minimum loading, battery discharge and UPS systems exercising. It also helps with testing to reduce ‘wet stacking’ problems and ground power testing.
