Primero: Prime Power For A Pilbara Crushing Plant

Primero was in need of a reliable, grid-like power solution to run day-to-day operations at its lithium crushing plant in the Pilbara region. The hot and dusty nature of the Pilbara meant the power source needed to be able to withstand volatile conditions without compromising power output. 

Blue Diamond Machinery supplied Primero with 4 custom-built 500kVA Cummins-powered diesel generators. Complete with a USA built Cummins QSX18-G8 engine, Stamford alternator, 500kVA/400kW prime power and 550kVA/440kW standby power output, the generators were able to comfortably power daily operations at the plant. Blue Diamond also supplied a 15,000L fuel storage tank to eliminate the hassle of disruptive refuelling and fuel logistics. 

Using 4 custom built generators, Primero ensured reliable, readily available power for the day-to-day operation of the crushing plant without disruptive power outages or refuelling.
